I probably won't be posting very often, at least not for a couple months. Here's why: This coming March, I'm studying abroad in Japan for eleven months. (: (In addition to that, I'm swamped with classes and college related stuff.) Once I'm in Japan, I hope to take lots of pictures, the best of which I will definitely post. I'm so excited for the trip, but I'll keep the journal short and sweet; even if not a lot is posted for a while, expect more this spring!

So today there was the first entirely sunny/warm/notwindy/nice day this entire year in my beautiful home of Washington. I gladly wasted it inside all day doing homework. :/ But anyways, I haven't posted anything in so long that I decided to whip out a couple quick shots of what I've been up to: another art project, and a random lamp. :D I'm also thinking about doing a contest entry, due in five days, so if I'm gonna do that I should get on it (pronto). Meanwhile, I have so much homework piled up that I can't see daylight, so goodbye! Whoops, almost forgot, my birthday is in a week, I'll have to come up with something to post in celebratio

Before school started, I decided to take an art class for the first time (in elementary school and up I'd assumed art would teach stupid things like holding the pencil diagonally to avoid stroke lines). Since then, my class has done five projects, plus some other things like making centerpieces. I didn't do so hot on the first project, probably because I suck at abstract art. (: On the other projects though, I bounced back and actually won Best of Show on all four of them! I think there was a car, a Pokemon, a well (for perspective), and a self portrait. I want to post them, but I don't have access to a scanner big enough to fit 12" x 18" pie
